Thanksgiving Eve Eucharist

Posted by Pastor Hinkle on November 22, 2010

At St. Paul’s we begin Thanksgiving with a Wednesday evening worship service. The 7:00 pm service  includes the Eucharist.

Eucharist is another name for the Lord’s Supper. It is a Greek term that means Thanksgiving.  We begin the sacramental portion of the service by giving  thanks for God’s blessings, especially the gift of salvation. The thanksgiving leads into heavenly praise as we join the angels and all the company of heaven in glorifying God and praising His holiness.
