Father, into Your Hands I Commit My Spirit

Seven Things Jesus Said from the Cross, Part 7
Audio Sermon on Luke 23:44-47

Death is not the end; Jesus died and rose! Death is not the end; the thief on the cross was received into paradise!

Jesus committed his spirit to the care of his Father, trusting that he would be raised. We, also, may commit ourselves to the care of the Father and be confident we will be received into paradise and then raised on the last day. Pastor Hinkle explains why.

It Is Finished

Seven Things Jesus Said from  the Cross, Part 6

Audio Sermon on  John 19:30

Moments from death Jesus cried out with a loud voice, “It is finished!”

What was finished?

  • His testing and temptation
  • His suffering
  • His work of atonement
  • Everything required for our salvation.
